The celebration begins Friday, July 4, 2014 at noon and includes free live concert, free kids zone, arts and crafts, vendors, food, a BBQ taste off, and a spectacular fireworks finale. Leesburg’s 4th of July Celebration at Venetian Gardens is presented by Phillips Automotive Group on July 4th from 6-10pm. A fabulous day of family fun and entertainment with festive foods, FREE Kids Play Zone, plus FREE baseball, ice cream, live music and a spectacular fireworks display choreographed to music! The choreographed fireworks will be set off from a barge in the middle of Venetian Cove providing better views for all spectators. Ski Beach offers a state of the art sound system to hear the music and has plenty of festive food vendors and designated areas for lawn chairs, blankets and parking. Boaters can now enjoy the show from the eastside of the cove (between Monkey Island and the boat ramps). There will be a boat tailgate party area for boaters to anchor and enjoy all of the festivities. The music for the show will be heard through a super charged sound system broadcast from Pat Thomas Stadium, Venetian Gardens and Ski Beach area. Presenting sponsor Phillips Automotive Group will be providing a FREE Kids Play Zone, with plenty of things for the kids to enjoy like jump houses, balloon artists, patriotic stilt walker, free snacks (while supplies last) and much more. Tavares Celebrates 4th of July – America: Yesterday, Today & Forever!
Spend 4th of July with the City of Tavares and enjoy a hometown celebration at its best. At 5pm, residents and visitors can gather downtown on Ruby and Main Streets to experience a community parade that boasts more than 100 units. Musicians, marchers, kids, clubs, organizations and families of all sizes participate in a full-out, joyous celebration of Independence Day. With this year’s theme, America: Yesterday, Today & Forever, there’s sure to be red, white and blue as far as the eye can see! The Tavares fireworks display will be available to a wider audience this year as My 790AM radio partners with the City to simulcast the event. Stating at 9pm, the opening ceremonies will include the national anthem sung a cappella, as a magnificent American flag is raised over Lake Dora. Special musical selections will accompany the lighting of the fireworks. The simulcast on My 790AM will allow listeners to join in the Tavares experience from all over Lake County just by turning on their radio. Family friendly activities will be available at Wooton Park on Ruby Street from 3pm to 9pm. Kids can check out the Game Truck, Xtreme Bungee Bounce and other rides. The Tavares Splash Park will be open, and a food truck round-up guarantees delicious treats for every taste. The event will be held June 29th 2014 at 1:00 pm at City Hall Park (7th and Montrose) where the Clermont Police Department will take on the Clermont Fire Department in the “Battle of the Fittest Competition” to determine which agency is the fittest during the Sunday Farmer’s Market. Fitness Trainers from Cross Train of Clermont have created a challenging fitness course for this worthwhile charity event, which will benefit the hungry in our community.
